Spiritual energy is a kind of energy. Oxygen is oxygen.
I once had a conversation with a senior figure in Taoism, whom even the Purple Robe would address respectfully as an elder.
He was well-versed in scriptures and had profound theoretical knowledge.
So I asked him: 'Do you know how to do spiritual practice gradually?'
He replied: 'That involves drawing in qi.'
'What is qi?' I continued.
'Qi is energy,' he responded.
Indeed, he had read many classics and understood the principles involved.
So I asked further: 'Where is this spiritual energy?'
We locked eyes for a moment, and he paused. It wasn't explicitly mentioned in the books.
He does have some seniority and has seen quite a bit of the world. He said, "Spiritual energy is everywhere, permeating the entire city." In other words, as long as he wants, he can have unlimited spiritual energy.
So, do you all understand now?
In truth, no matter how famous or high their social status, no one can unravel the mysteries of the universe or truly understand the fundamentals of spiritual practice.
Human intelligence has its limits.
Even though these people can wield total control in the human world and receive countless admirers, they are like ignorant children when it comes to spiritual practice.
Children have innocent and pure minds, and they explore. However, adults do not.
Adults may be exhausted or constrained by concerns over reputation, fame, and status. In any case, it is impossible for them to truly humble themselves to understand the unknown. They cling to what they believe to be true and consider it to be everything, merely catching a glimpse of the bigger picture through a narrow perspective.
Therefore, most people cannot pursue spiritual cultivation, as their perceptions and attitude have already fixed.
To put it more bluntly, everything depends on inherent wisdom! Those you think possess strong inherent wisdom might actually lack true insight.
Conversely, those who appear simple and honest, lacking wisdom, may possess true wisdom. Great wisdom appears foolish.
Here, I won't directly explain what spiritual energy is. I'll leave it for everyone to discover on their own.
